Tiruchirappalli / Trichy



Tiruchirappalli is our next tourist destination in Tamil Nadu State, India. City is also known as Trichinopoly, Trichy and Tiruchi. This urban area is not much popular due to lack of promotions, but this is 3rd largest town of state having several historical places and tourism spots.

The rulers of Cholas, Pallavas, Pandyas, Medieval Cholas, Later Pandyas, Delhi Sultanate, Vijayanagar Empire, Madurai Sultanate, Carnatic, Nayak Dynasty and the British. The town played vital role during the battle amid British and French Company. Town is holding many shrines and monuments where travellers can attain.


Few major attraction spots of Tiruchirappalli are mentioned below:
Karaikudi: first place to visit in Trichy is Karaikudi at 103 km distance from central part of city. Karaikudi lies under Sivaganga Region and travellers can visit the monuments created in the area by Nattukottai Chettiyars.

St John's Church: another location is St John's Church which is very ancient church of Tiruchirapalli. It was constructed by BEIC (East India Company) in 1812. Major part of church is its structural design which makes it one of the best churches in India.

Rock Fort: The big castle is our next destination in Trichy. A fort known as Rock is on the top of tall rock with 83 meters height. Sources say the rock of fort is 3800 million ages old. Because of such period it is placed in the list of ancient rock creation in whole world. The fort constructed on top is around 2 billion ages old.

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple: a shrine known as Sri Ranganathaswamy is next religious spot of Trichy dedicated to God Ranganatha who was the another creation of Lord Vishnu. Temple is spread in 156 acres land in Srirangam close to Cauvery River. 108 Divya Deshams is best thing to watch in temple.

Vayalur Murugan Temple: next place is Vayalur Murugan shrine at 9 km distance from central Trichy. Temple is dedicated to Lord Muruga who is next carnation of Lord Kartike (son of Lord Shiva).

Government Museum: a museum with great collection of historical things is available for visitors. Museum is managed by local government situated at Bharathidasan town, which is closer to market of Trichy.

St. Joseph's Church: another religious spot is ancient church constructed in 1792 by Danish Missionary. Church is constructed close to Maingaurd Gate and Teppakulam.

Gunaseelam Vishnu Temple: here the 8th tourist place is Gunaseelam Vishnu shrine where the devotees of Lord Prasanna Venkatachalapathi visit frequently.

Other major spots of Trichy are Mukkombu, Vekkaliamman Temple, Tiruvanaikkaval Temple, Puliyancholai Falls, Gangaikondacholapuram Temple, Brihadeshwar Temple, Maariamman (Samayapuram Maariamman) Temple, Viralimalai Murugan Temple, Kodumbalur and Kallanai Dam. Both locations are amazing and best picnic spots. Kallanai Dam is spread in 146.70 square km area and construction was completed in 1st century by the ruler King Chola Karikalan.

By Train:Tiruchchirappalli Junction is linked to many big stations of India. Trains for Trichy are available from Mayiladuturai, Coimbatore, Mumbai and few more major cities of India.

By Road:Reaching Trichy by road is possible as direct buses from Coimbatore, Bangalore and few more states are available for Trichy. Tamil Nadu State transport is having luxury buses for Trichy from Chennai, Coimbatore, Trivandrum and few more cities.


By Air:attaining to Tiruchirappalli international airport is best way for abroad visitors. Domestic flights are also available for this airport from almost every corner of India.

Nagore



The small town Nagore is our next tourist destination. The town is located in Nagapattinam region of Tamil Nadu State, India. Attaining to this place allow voyagers to enjoy Karaikal, which is just 12 kms away and Nagapattinam that is only 5 kms distant. Ranchi - Important city of Bihar



Ranchi a city of MSD (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) is our next Indian tourist destination. Ranchi is the capital of state Jharkhand, India. This scenic metropolis is also recognized as Chota Nagpur. Ranchi is known to the world for Bamboo forest and its altitude is 2,140 feet from sea level. Rajmachi



Today we discuss about the Indian tourist place Rajmachi, which is the charming place located between two high peaks known as Shrivardhan and Manaranjan. This town of Maharashtra is eminent for the citadel, though two big hill areas of Maharashtra such as Lonavala and Khandala are located close to Rajmachi that means people can enjoy the natural India by visiting Rajmachi and its closer areas. Among surrounding hills Shrivardhan is highest with 3000 feet up from sea level whereas Manaranjan is having elevation of 2700 feet from sea level.


This hilly region is full of streams, cascades, and verdant greenery with deep valleys. Lonavala is one big known tourist attraction placed close to Rajmachi. Ulhas Valley and Bhor Ghat are two areas of town turned as first choice for picnic. Trekkers from diverse nations and states are reaching town to enjoy high hill. Rourkela




Rourkela is the steel city of Orissa, India. City is covered with scenic hills with countless lakes in territory. However, city got huge popularity after establishment of 3 big steel plants in 1955.

As the town is placed close rivers people can also visit the Mandira Dam constructed on one of the river which is just 51 kms away from city. 


Best period to attain Rourkela is form October to March. Domestic airport of Rourkela is having flights from Bhubaneswar that is another tourist place in north east India.

Spots for Voyagers in Rourkela:
Badaghagra Falls: first place available in town for voyagers is Badaghagra waterfalls. Voyagers can enjoy the flowing water with approximately 10 kms distance. Fall is not much in height but it flows from 10 kms to 196 kms from Raurkela to Keonjhar. Average height of fall is 60 meters and a source is River Ghaghra.

Barehipani Falls: one more attractive location in Rourkela is Barehipani falls placed in the middle part of Simipal National Park (another picnic spot). Duduma Falls: a next spot where travelers can enjoy is Duduma falls located in Darjeeing area. The falls of Duduma originated from Machhakunda River, also recognized as Matsya Tirtha. Hydro-electric project of Machhakunda is major source of electricity in state.

Harishankar Falls:  other place is Harishankar Falls located in Balangir town. Here voyagers can enjoy series of waterfalls like some are lower in height and few are higher.

Hatipathar Falls: Orissa is full of waterfalls and Hatipathar is one of them. Place is named after two different words such as Hati means elephant and pathar means stone. Fall is only 3 kms distant from Rayagada (one more tourist location in Rourkela).

The top area of Rourkela is Indira Gandhi Park (IGP) housing the small and big waterfalls, Dam and forest areas. People visiting IGP can make their holidays special by attaining to Joranda Falls and Mandira Dam.

Joranda Falls: a place located close to Barehpani falls is Joranda fall having better height of 150 meters. However, travelers have to go through Simlipal National Park to reach the Jorander falls. By Air: closest domestic airport to reach Rourkela is located at Ranchi. However, Ranchi city is 250 kms distant but travelers can hire the taxi and private vehicle to reach Rourkela from Ranchi. Flights for Ranchi are available from DelhiBangaloreHyderabadChennai and many big cities of India.

By Rail: trains to Rourkela are available from various parts of nation. This steel city is properly connected to major stations of India like BhubaneswarKolkata, MumbaiDelhiAhmadabad and many more. From Bhubaneswar travelers have to travel for 7 hours by train. However, from Kolkata it will take only 6 hours to reach the Rourkela.

By Road: Orissa Roadways buses are available from Bhubaneswar and few other areas of State Orissa.  Frequent buses are available from Bhubaneswar though that will take longer time as the route is little difficult with some dangerous curves and hills.
