Jambughoda - Wild Park of Gujarat

India and its destinations are always special. This is the reason why abroad voyagers are regularly visiting the different places of India. Today we are going to discuss about Jambughoda a well known tourist place of India. Jambughoda is the place of jungle means it’s a spot famous for forest life. Basically it’s a National park of central Gujarat located in Panchmahal district. Since 1990 the place is announced as Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary. We can say it’s a place where you can see live wild animals but you have to take the permission from forest department before you enter in Safari of the jungle.


Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary is spread in huge part and small area is covered with Targol Round falls. This magnificent jungle of bamboos, teak and other species is special destination for adventure lovers. There are two water reservoirs famous for tourist. People have to reach Kada and Targol for these reservoirs.


You can watch Leopard as top predator in this park. The finest part of jungle is strength of Leopard is regularly increasing in this area. Some other common animals available in jungle are sloth bear, blue bull, jackal, wild boar and antelopes.


Countless types of reptiles include poisonous and non-poisonous snakes. Before independence the complete area was under Jambughoda city. Undulating hills and good forest spread in this area makes it special destination for travelers. Some key spots of Jambughoda are Kada, Jhand Hanuman temple and Targol.


Kada is the most impressive destination of this park having beautiful jungle guest house located closer to irrigation reservoir. Kada comes under the Vadodara region, but the place is added in Jambughoda wildlife sanctuary. This place is ideal spot for local people because of natural beauty spots. It’s an Eco system wildlife place and easily reachable destination for travelers.


Attaining to Jambughoda:
By Road: Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary is just 70 Km away from Vadodara City. It’s just 20 Km far from Champaner as well. Hire the car if you are planning to visit Champaner, Vadodara and Jambughoda. Shivrajpur is the closest town located at 1 km distance from Jambughoda Park.

By Rail: Shivrajpur railway station is closest train point to reach the destination. Various cites of India are directly connected to Shivrajpur town.

By Air: If you want to reach through air then Vadodara is the closest airport city for Jambughoda.

Best period: Reaching this place in winter is best for travelers. Gujarat is hot state so winter is preferred season to reach here. November to March is good months to attain sanctuary. Do advance bookings of ticket so that you will get the accommodation in rest house of the forest.

Lahaul-Spiti



Indian tourist places are always attracting visitors. Today we are going to discuss about the finest travel destination of India known as Lahaul-Spiti. The two regions of HP (Himachal Pradesh) are turning as most exciting locations because of high hills covered with snow maximum time. However, both districts are having diverse features but they are full of wonder places. Before merge of these two districts they were holding two different capitals. Lahaul capital was Kardang and Spiti capital was Dhankar.



The best part of Lahaul-Spiti is they are hilly area having amazing natural spots. Talking about the Kunzum la also known as Kunzum Pass is headquarters of Lahaul located at altitude of 4,551 meters. Kunzum pass is the entry point of Spiti from Lahaul. Don’t forget to attain Kunzum because you are going to spend your holidays in heaven. This place is only 21 km away to Chandra Tal which is another tourist place of India. Manali is also closer big tourist place of Lahaul, though travelers have to get the route of Rohtang Pass. District Spiti border to Tabo with just 24 km distance in south. NH 22 is best route to reach Spiti and Lahaul.



Both regions are having different valleys, though Spiti is dangerous area because of deep valleys and short routes. Spiti River is also flowing from this region and meeting to big Religious River Sutlej in southeast. Experts refer the Spiti as typical hill desert place.

Both places are different destinations so people who love adventure can enjoy the spots a lot. The condition of Lahaul is harsh that allow only scattered bunch of grasses to grow. Voyagers can easily view the Glacier lines at 5,000 meters distance from Lahaul.



Wild animals are special attraction in the Spiti but the place is really dangerous. Animals like Dzos and Yaks roam in plan areas. Earlier the nearest forest area was full of Kiangs, Argali, Musk Deer, snow leopards and Tibetan antelope. However, the hunting in such reason reduced the quantity of such animals. Still some animals like Ibex, foxes, brown bears and leopards are seen in Lahaul valley.

Lahaul and Spiti are two regions and there are some amazing places to visit.

Attraction in Lahaul-Spiti:
ROHTANG PASS: Wonder place of HP is Rohtang pass located at altitude of 13050 feet. This pass separates the Kullu city from Lahaul valley. If we go through Tibetan language the word Rohtang means a place of dead bodies. This sounds that Rohtang pass is difficult location, but in recent period the roads of such pass are repaired with proper gap. Here the snow storms can occur anytime after 11 A.M. People must take their warm clothes if they are reaching to this pass.



KHOKSAR: another location known as Khoksar is a village and gateway to Lahaul from Spiti. Altitude of Khoksar is 3140 meters and river Chandra is flowing from this area. Guest house and lodgings are available in Khoksar. Summer is the top season of this place when rich alpine flowers grow. The whole town becomes best in appearance and hills also get covered with lashing greenery.



SISSU: A village of Lahaul region is available for you. Located closer to river Chandra at altitude of 3130 meters. It’s a flat ground area and swimming in Chandra River is available at this location. Wild roses spread everywhere is able to make the place eye catching.



GONDHLA: A town located at gap of 18 km from Keylong is available for you. Altitude of Gondhla is 3160 meters. Area is covered with thick flora of willows and poplars. Its mountain area and river is flowing between the hills. An impressive place to visit in Gondhla is fort. People should view the sword of wisdom located inside the fort.



TANDI: A town located above the meeting points of the two rivers Bhaga and Chandra. Both rivers meet at Pattan valley that is only 7 km far from Keylong (another best spot of HP). Founder of this town was King Rana Chand Ram of Chandi Empire. According to Indian myth Mahabharata Draupadi left her body at Tandi. Some people believe Rishi Vashishtha meditated near water springs in Manali and moved to Tandi in later period.



Keylong: A headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti is next prime destination. The altitude of Keylong is 3156 meters. Keylong town is positioned on the major trade route of Rohtang and Baralacha. Government offices of Lahaul and Spiti are placed at Keylong. Lady of Keylong is major attraction of town. Brown mountains and snow peaks are easily visible from any side of the town.



JISPA: A beautiful mark for voyagers is Jispa just 22 Kms distant from Keylong whereas Ghemur is only 4 kms away. Bhaga River is flowing from Jispa.



Some more attractions for voyagers in Lahaul-Saiti regions are DARCHA, SURAJ TAAL, and CHANDRA TAAL.  

Attaining to Lahaul-Spiti
By Air: Closest domestic airport is Bhuntar located at 40 kms distance from Manali. From Bhuntar travelers have to go for 115 kms distance the reach Rohtang pass or Keylong.

By Rail: Joginder Nagar is closest railway station for Lahaul-Spiti. The two big stations closer to spot are Shimla and Chandigarh.

By Bus: Roadways are the best mode of transport in India. Lahaul-Spiti is properly connected through road to various cities of Himachal Pradesh. Frequent bus services are available from Manali for Rohtang Pass and other closer areas of Lahaul. However, voyagers should check the weather conditions before booking the seats in bus, train or plane.

Barmer - City of Rajasthan



Indian tourist place Barmer is our next target. This city of Rajasthan is 2ndlargest region as well. Major town comes under Barmer district are Guda Malani, Balotra, Baytoo, Jasol, Siwana and Chohatan. Barmer is also famous for large oil field. The city was named after King Bahada Rao Parmar. The king was also named as Bar Rao Parmar. Sources say the region was founded by the king in mid of 13thcentury. Earlier the place was named as Bahadamer which means hill fort of Bahada.



Barmer is having historical values in India’s past. This place is having amazing forts and that major attraction of the town. The historical castles get decorated on festivals especially the colorful events. However, the whole region is listed in dry cities of India.

Attraction in Barmer:
Barmer Fort:First place to visit in town is fort located on dry hill. If we recognize the Barmer area as dry rocky hill town then it will be easily understandable. Visitors can easily find the ruins of Fort from almost every corner. Water shortage is the major problem in the town, but the local administration is having special arrangements for voyagers. Presently some part of fort is serving the city as big hotel. You can get the accommodation in fort and can enjoy the royal living style of Rajasthan


Balark Temple: Next location of Barmer is Balark Temple that is devoted to the God Sun. Ancient damaged areas of Juna (old) Barmer are some more famous locations for visitors. Once you reach this place you will find 3 Jain shrines built in somewhere 1295 AD. If you are attaining to this temple then don’t forget to look the massive pillar located in the hall of temple constructed in the ruling period of King Kula Samanta Sinha.


Kiradu: Talking about the 3rd place of Barmer it is the hill location positioned at only gap of 35km. Kiradu is basically a village located on the foot of a hill closer to another village Hathma. The amazingly carved shrine and unbelievable structural design of temple is must view spot in Kiradu. In this area you will find 5 oldest shrines in which one is devoted to God Vishnu and rest four are devoted to God Shiva. Nature lovers will keen to visit the hill top as the view of district is amazing experience for visitors.



Closer attraction of Barmer: Few small but best towns for tourism near Barmer are Khed, Mallani, Jasol village, Meva Nagar and Nagar-Ki-Bhakarian hill area.

Attaining to Barmer:
If you are coming from Ahmadabad towards Barmer then you have to travel for 408 kms distance. However, if you are getting route of Jaipur then 522 km will be the distance, New Delhi will be 791 km, Kanpur will be 1016 km and Chandigarh is 1082 km away. Jodhpur is big city closer to Barmer having bus, train and taxi services.

By Train: Railway station of Barmer is properly connected through meter gauge to Jodhpur. In India train is the cheapest transport mode so we can say it is the most convenient and prominent transport facility for voyagers. Cities having trains for Barmer are New DelhiGuwahatiHaridwar and Kalka.

By Air: The Jodhpur airbase is closer to Barmer located at distance of 220 km. This domestic airport is having frequent flights from New Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Udaipur.

By Bus: Rajasthan Roadways is one of the best bus transports of India and buses for Barmer from various cities of India are available. Buses are available in good amount from JodhpurUdaipurJaipur and some more cities for Barmer.

Chakrata - Hill Station of Uttaranchal

This Indian tourist place is turning as favorite destination for people because it is the calm place with countless natural beauty spots. This picturesque spot is registered under Dehradun region. Train for Dehradun is available from ChennaiDelhi and many other cities.

By Air: closest airfield for Chakrata is Jolly Grant Airport located at 92 kms distance. Flights for Jolly airport is available from DelhiBangaloreChennai and some more cities. Delhi is the easiest way for foreign visitors for Chakrata.

By Bus: state buses are available for Chakrata from Dehradun, Kalsi and Ponta Sahib. They charge around Rs 200 to 300 for Chakrata depot.

Anantnag



Famous religious place Anantnag is our next target. This is the small city of Jammu and Kashmir popular for Hindu and Muslim religious values. Anantnag is the capital of Kashmir Valley surrounded with greenery everywhere. 

When we talk about the tourist attraction in Anantnag the first thing comes to mind is valleys. There are countless interesting places, though valleys are most vital areas. Visitors can enjoy hot springs, temples, lakes, shrines and some other spots for their vacations. The two sulpher springs are able to heal maximum type of skin infections. There are many natural springs that are providing fresh water to the city. Salag Nag, Nag Bal and Malik Nag are key springs of Anantnag. 


Famous shrines of city are Goswami Gund Ashram, Hazrat Baba Rashi, Shilagram Temple, KBAS (Khanna Baranain Triposundari Astapan Devsar), Nila Nag, etc.

Anantnag is located in 55 Kms distance towards south-east direction of Srinagar. Average population of city is 8.50 lacs. Anantnag city is bordered by Srinagar city in north, Pulwama in north-west and famous Kargil north-east. Once you reach this city you will find best surrounding areas that are also famous for natural beauty spots like in south-east you will get border of Udhampur and Doda whereas west is bounded with Rajouri. 

Attraction of Anantnag:
Mattan: a temple and a monument place is first choice for visitors. A temple of lord Shiva is famous located between Pahalgam and Anantnag. The shrine is placed between the deep ponds.


Martand: an archaeological site is next destination for travelers. It’s a place having temple in middle part of courtyard and rectangular arcade. Pahalgam: popular hill station of north India is Pahalgam that is located at 45 Kms distance from the city. It’s a great tourist spot known as finest health resort of India. However, Tarsar Lake is also available for trekking. It’s just 35 Kms away from Pahalgam
