Pali - Tourist Place of Rajasthan




Rajasthan is always the first preference for abroad travelers. The reason is there are countless historical places that attract the visitors every year. There is one more cause of attraction of visitors to Rajasthan and that is hospitality and beautiful hotels. If you go through historical background of the state then you will find that many rulers of such state developed amazing forts and palaces at different places for their entertainment. Today we are going to discuss about one of the famous tourist places of India known as Pali. It is the city of Rajasthan, India established in Duthariya district. Indian tourist place Pali is located closer to Bandi River. The city is only 70 km away from another tourist place of state such as Jodhpur. Today Pali is turned as industrial city of Rajasthan.
History: The city was earlier known as Pallika and the reason of establishment of place was trade in Rajasthan. This city of trade was ruled by Guhilas in 11t century AD. However, Nadol kingdom captured the city in 12th century ruled by Chauhan rulers. Different rulers captured this place because of business which means city was ruled by different empires at regular interval.

Lakhotia Garden: Next attraction of Pali is Lakhotia Garden located central part of the city. The garden is surrounded with pond and shrine of Lord Shiva is constructed in the middle of garden.

 
Somnath Mandir: Visit one of the best temples of city known as Somnath Mandir. The structural design of temple is similar to Shilpart. It is the temple of Lord Shiva located in middle portion of city. This shrine was constructed under ruler Kumarpal Solanki of Gujarat.

 
Manpura Bhakri and Hemawas Dam: A dam and nearby mountain area are two more attraction spots of Pali. Hemawas Dam is located at 10 km distance from Pali. Once you reach the dam area don’t forget to trek the Manpura Bhakri that is the best mountain of Pali. In Manpura you can visit Goddess Durga temple, Jabreshwar Mahadev shrine and the Jain temple.

 
Maharana Pratap Smarak: Pali is the birth town of Great Maharana Pratap (A best ruler of Rajasthan). This smarak is located closer to Somnath temple. This loyal king to his people had never bowed down. Maharana Pratap played important role in India independence as well. His name is listed in brave fighters of India like Rani Laximibai and Bhagat Singh.

 
Om Banna: One more holy place named as Om Banna is available for travelers. However, voyagers have to cover the distance of 20 km from Pali. The temple is placed on Pali to Jodhpur highway. Om Banna was the social worker of Pali and people were so admired to him. He died in road accident at the exact location where temple is constructed. By Train: railway station of Pali is properly connected to big cities of India. You can get the trains for Pali from Guwahati, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Pune, Ajmer, Bangalore, Yeshwantpur, Ranakpur, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Mysore and many other cities. Jodhpur is the biggest and closest railway station for Pali.
By Air: Jodhpurdomestic airport is available for the voyagers who want to reach Pali by air. Satara - Plan Trip to Amazing Destination of Maharashtra




Satara is the town of Maharashtra administered under Satara region. This Indian tourist place is 2320 feet above from the sea-level. Satara is the meeting point of two big rivers of India such as Krishna and Venna. Foundation of city was done in 16th century, though it was declared capital during the ruling period of Maratha’s. Bhonsle Chhatrapati was the ruler who declared this city as capital. It is kind of historical places, but the spots are beautiful and going to take your breath away. The name of city itself states the value of this place. Satara means Seven Stars, though the stars means hills so this place is famous for seven different hills. Kandi pedha is the sweet item famous in Satara.

Karad: Once you reach Satara you must attain to Karad the historical spot.  Karad is only 50 km far from Satara. This prominent territory was ruled by rulers of Mauryas, Bahmanis, Chalukyas, Rashtrakuta, Peshwas, Maratha, Satavahanas, British and Mughals. Wai: one of the best spots of Satara is Wai pilgrim place located close to River Krishna with only distance of 35 kms. Wai is also known as Deccan Kashi famous for temples and 7 Ghats. 


Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary: almost every hill station of India is having own wildlife sanctuary and Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary is one of them. This natural beauty spot is only 70 km far from city Satara. Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary is spread in 420 square km area. 


Ganapati Temple: A temple of Lord Ganesh is special spot for voyagers. This temple is also recognized as Khinditil or Kuraneshwar Ganapati Temple. Travel for 1.5 km distance only to reach temple from Satara City.

Attaining to Satara:
Travelers can reach Pune (The biggest closer city for Satara) that is only 107 km far from destination. However, people coming from Mumbai have to travel for 256 km, Bangalore  734 km, Ahmadabad 789 km and Mangalore 865 km.

Yumthang - Hill Station of Sikkim



The best Indian tourist place Yumthang Valley is our next target. As its name suggests this place is famous valley located in Sikkim State. Sikkim is full of amazing spots and Yumthang valley is one of them. Yumthang is famous for picturesque location and breathtaking sights. Flora and fauna are special attraction of valley. Some big names of flowers grown in this place are Primulas, Iris and poppies. Rhododendron flower is the only flower that is grown in Yumthang valley. The complete valley gets covered with rhododendrons flowers in monsoon. Teesta River is flowing through this valley.


If you are attaining to this place then target the major tourist spot Shingba Rhododendron Park. Once you reach here you can also attain to another tourism location Lachung. Attraction of Yumthang Valley:
Hot Spring: Hill areas are chilled with temperature and visitors will get similar conditions in Yumthang valley. By Road: Yumthang valley is just 150 kms away from Gangtok (capital city of Sikkim). Private taxis and buses are available for valley from Gangtok. If you really want to enjoy the place then hire the jeep for your troop. Siliguri is another also closer city to reach valley destination.

By Train: Jalpaiguri railway station is available that is connected to some big stations of state. Siliguri is also the option having connectivity to big cities. Trains for Siliguri and Jalpaiguri are available from Chennai, New Delhi, Guwahati and some more places.

By Air: domestic airport of Siliguri is the only way to reach Yumthang valley by air. Airport named as Bagdogra is located in outer area of Siliguri. Big cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Guwahati are having frequent flights for Siliguri. Kolkata is the closest international airport to reach Siliguri.
