Dispur: The Amazing City of Assam

Indian glorious cities and their attractive spots are different than world. Today my target is Dispur which is the impressive city closer to Guwahati. Dispur is a small city but the surrounding the other locations near this place are totally unbelievable. Telling the truth I did not find much about this place on social sites, but as per the collection Dispur is turning as a developed city of the state and tourism is increasing as well. 

In 1973, Dispur was the capital city of Assam, though it was merged into Meghalaya earlier. Dispur is having important value in state assembly, but our motto is to introduce the best attraction spots of city to the world readers.

Tourist places in Dispur:
There are countless places registered as a tourist attraction in Dispur City. I will try to get maximum locations so that travelers can enjoy the city properly. 

Basistha Ashram: A place located close to three big rivers such as Sandhya, Lalita and Kanta is the first spot to visit. Get the route in south direction of Dispur and reach this pilgrimage destination. 

Pandu: Next destination of Dispur is Pandu that is positioned close to Brahmaputra River. Pandu is basically an entry point in Guwahati city. A bridge known as Saraighat was constructed between Guwahati and Pandu in 1960.

Ghazipur: Historical City of Uttar Pradesh

I love to travel different places and that is the reason why search for secret, known and unknown locations so that my journey will become perfect. My today’s target is Ghazipur that is also spelled as Ghazeepore, Ghazipour and Gauspur. I will refer the place as Ghazipur city as that is the most popular name of the place. Ghazipur is also a headquarters of big rich agricultural state Utter Pradesh, India. 

As per the sources Ghazipur name derives from the Ruler's name Sayyid Masud Ghazi. This Muslim ruler defeated the local King of the city and established this town as a big commercial place for his empire. Records says Ghazipur was established in 1330 CE. This town was also the major center for British East India Company. 

Opium factory established in 1820 by the British government is one of the major sources of income of the city. Ghazipur opium factory is one of the biggest plants in the world. This industry is producing a huge quantity of drugs for world pharmaceutical industries. Other big trades of Ghazipur are rose oil and perfume (attar) of roses. Handloom is also famous in Ghazipur City. 

Frankly telling the city is having limited tourist attractions, but the nearby other locations allow voyagers to enjoy the trip of Ghazipur properly. Here I am discussing some major spots that you can plan if you have decided to attain Ghazipur. 

Ghazipur: A historical city full of traditional substance of Syed Masood ruled till 1330. Earlier the city was known as Gadhipuri, though later it was changed to Ghazipur. The city is having a best Cornwallis monument that is the major attraction here. Cornwallis is made of four meters high flooring with gray marble. The big holy river Ganga is flowing from this region so you can take a holy dip in this river. Spend your beautiful time of evening at Ghats and hear the noise created by water of river Ganga.  

Pohari Baba Math: A holy place of the town located closer to River Ganga at 4 km distance is one more attraction of Ghazipur. Local transport is available from the Ghazipur station and other parts of the city to reach Pohari Baba Math.

Aunrihar: Initial location of the region is Aunrihar in the western part of Ghazipur. The only distance of 3.2 km from another town Saidpur makes it easily reachable spot. If you love to watch historical places, then Aunrihar is best for you. Here you can enjoy the archeological spots build during Muslim rulers.

Bahadurganj: Next destination close to Ghazipu is Bahadurganj situated close to River Saryu. This attractive location is 35 km far from Ghazipur founded by Sheikh Abdullah in 1742 AD. Ramnavami is the special occasion when a fair is conducted in Bahadurganj. 

Bhitari: Another tourism spot at 32 km gap from Ghazipur. Bhitari is closer to Saidpur town, though its name is derived from Bhimutri word. Great archaeological place famous for Buddhists temples. Gupt Era was the main period of the development of the town. Popular monolith made of red stone is a prime spot of Bhitari. 

Dildarnagar: Nearby cities and towns are amazing in Ghazipur and Dildarnagar is one of them. This town lies on the highway between Varanasi and Zamania. It is only 20 km far from Ghazipur. If you split Dildarnagar, then it will be Dildar (means kind hearted) and Nagar (location). The world Dildarnagar mean place of hearted people. This ancient place is famous for the hospitality of Ghazipur localities. 

Gauspur and Zamania are two more attractive places located closer to Ghazipur. Gauspur is only 14 km away and Zamania is only few km away from Ghazipur. 

How to reach Ghazipur?
The best part of Ghazipur is a different mode of transport to reach the destination. You can get the train, can come by road, select the waterways or come by air. The city is having all methods through which you can easily attain to your favorite destination.

By Air: Airport at Andhau is another good method to reach the Ghazipur city. This airport is only 9 km away from Ghazipur. However, limited flights and VIP plans are only allowed to land in this airport. The biggest airport is in Varanasi that is only 90 km far from Ghazipur.

By Water: Ganga is the big river and a port of Ghazipur is connected to Haldia and Allahabad so you can reach Ghazipur through water as well.

By Road: Ghazipur is the big city of Uttar Pradesh and it is properly connected to various parts of the nation through road. Buses and private taxis are available from Shastrinagar, MahuaBaag, Rajdepur, Varanasi, Delhi and some more cities.

Ananthapur: Historical City of Andhra Pradesh

India’s glorious city Ananthapur is prime target today. This tourism place of India is famous as holy region. However, the city is having different nearby best tourist attractions that mean if you reach the Ananthapur then you can enjoy many other tourism locations.

Ananthapur is also known as Anantpuram and Anantpur so don’t get confused if you get different spellings on the internet while searching for this destination. This city is the headquarters of Ananthapur region AP (Andhra Pradesh) state, India. The city played a vital role in 2nd World War for British East India Company.

Climate:

You will get the city transport from Anantpur to reach Dharmavarm. This initial place is having historical values like this place was ruled by King of Bijayanagar Vidya Empire around 500 years ago. Don’t forget to visit the Dharmavaram tank that is one of the largest tanks of the region. Dharmavaram town is famous for the shrine of Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava. Silk Saree of the town are famous and exported to abroad nations as well.  

Gooty: Next tourism spot of Ananthapur is Gooty that is just 52 km away from the town. You have to get the Kurnool to Bangalore highway for Gooty. Here you can visit the old fort of AP (Andhra Pradesh). You will get the local transport for Gooty from Anantpur. The fort constructed at this place is actually special because of hill area. You have to trek 300 meters height to reach the fort. Construction was done during the ruling period of Vijayanagara Kingdom. Hemavathi: Once you are in the town you can attain to Hemavathi that is another tourist spot of the area. Hemavathi is located at 37 km distance from Madakasiri, though Ananthapur is 148 km away from this place. Hindupur is the closest railway station to reach Hemavathi. In ancient period this town was the capital of the rulers of Pallavas Empire. Lambasingi: Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh

A hotspot of Andhra Pradesh that is becoming the first demand especially for hill station lovers. Our target of the day is Lambasingi that is also known as Kashmir of South India. A small town of AP with full greenery everywhere is definitely going to attract voyagers. Surrounding is covered with hills and dense forest so you are going to enjoy the nature as well as best hospitality of India at this special destination. This Indian tourist place is all time favorite spot for nature lovers.

Imagine you are at calm place and fog is spread in everywhere. You are not able to see anything nearby.

Kolhapur: Historical City of Maharashtra

A famous city Kolhapur is our target of the day. Kolhapur is the historical metropolis located on the bank of Panchganga River, Maharashtra, India. The striking temples, palaces and gardens are main attractions of the city. Kolhapur is having religious values for Indians. 

City was found by Chhatra Pati Tarabai and most successful ruler for the city was legend Shri Shahu Ji Maharaj and Shri Rajaram Ji. Solapur

Solapur, one of the biggest cities of Maharashtra is the target of the day. It is the 6th largest city of state as well. This city is bordering two states such as Maharashtra and Karnataka. People from different communities are living in this city. You will find Marathi, Kannada, Urdu and Telugu languages, though Marathi is the spoken by maximum people.


Solapur is basically a trade center having big textile factories. This is the reason city is also known as Manchester of India. Bed sheets and towels of Sholapur are famous throughout the world. Power looms and cotton mills are other major industries to the city. Worlds 2nd biggest spinning mill is located in Solapur.


Solapur is the word that means 16 villages (sola = 16 and pur= villages). We can say Solapur is a mixture of 16 different villages such as Aadilpur, Chapaldev, Ahmedpur, Fatehpur, Kalajapur, Jamdarwadi, Khadarpur, Muhammadpur, Khandervkiwadi, Ranapur, Shaikpur, Sandalpur, Solapur, Sonapur, Sonalagi and Vaidakwadi.


Solapur played important role in India’s freedom from British Rule. Many freedom fighters were sentenced death by the British court nearly 1930.

India's tourism is an all-time favorite for abroad voyagers. Solapur is turned as a good choice for such people. Few historical spots, temples, gardens, chokes and monuments are a major attraction in the city.

Few holier  spots around the city are Swami Samarth Temple, Withoba Temple, Shani Temple, Sant Tukaram Temple, Sambhaji Lake, Sadanandi Mata Temple, Rukmini Temple, Rangraj Temple, Ram Temple, Panchamukhi Temple, Nilkanteshwar Temple, New Life Fellowship Church, Nagnath Mandir, Methodist Church, Maruti Temple, Markandeya Udyan, Mahalaxmi Mandir, and many more.



Bustard Sanctuary: The most interesting place for birdwatchers. Grassland species are the key attraction. Quails, Sandgrouse, Larks, Indian Bustard, Indian Coursers, Eurasian Doves and Red Collared are most known birds of the park. Vehicle entry into the park is not allowed because of noise pollution protection. Blackbuck is easily visible in the park.

Bazaar: Purchase the favorite textile items from the best markets within the city. You are getting a chance to visit Aamina Bazaar, Meena Bazaar and local market buy bedsheets, covers, towels, curtains and many other items.


Hazrat Shah Dargah: The Muslim religious place that is located at few km distances from central Solapur. People have been huge believe in Dargah; they think all wishes get fulfilled if you pray with true values at the Dargah.

Solapur Qila: A historical palace built in the central part from the city. Lots of the rulers of Chalukas and other dynasties ruled the city at several cities. City faced countless battles since the ancient period, but the fort is still alive. The strong foundation of the fort will still keep this fort active for a longer time.

By Air: Solapur domestic airport is available, but the airport is not having any flights. Lack of requirement is the reason you will not get any flight to Solapur. However, private charted plans can be hired to reach this destination.
